Hello everyone,

We are very proud to announce the latest details about our Spring 2016 production, Amor en los tiempos de la Resistencia, happening May 5 and 6 at 7:00pm at Northwest Auditorium. This year we will be producing two plays, screening short films, and we are inviting various latinx dance troupes and performers for what promises to be another great Latin American culture night at UCLA!

We are now beginning to cast for the theatrical plays that will be performed during the show. Below are the synopses for the two plays:
Play 1: The Street Vendor
Synopsis: After an increasing number of violent police raids against food vendors in MacArthur Park, a pair of star-crossed vendors ("el taquero" y "la pupusera") join forces with the local community to stop the police.
Play 2: No Tan Clara
When Clara's mother loses her home, Clara loses hope in the value of their efforts and dreams, refusing to understand her mother's predicament and her decision to go back to the past. With a little help from el mas alla, Clara learns the power of love and tolerance from none other than her abuelita. The two will work together to stay afloat and to never quit fighting.

Any questions contact Ricardo, Carlos, Jocelyn, Priscila, Lizz, Roberta, and Katia.
