E.A.R.T.H. is the environmental health committee within USAC's Student Wellness Commission. We believe that student well-being is inextricably related to individual efforts in achieving a clean, thriving, and healthy environment to live in!

EARTH is committed to promoting student awareness about the dynamic relationship that exists between individual health and the health of the environment. We do so by addressing environmental concerns, such as pollution and harmful environmental and chemical exposures that affect our well-being. Our mission is to provide the student body an avenue to resources that empower them with the knowledge, skills, and opportunities to actively engage in identifying, preventing, and reducing harmful environmental factors in their everyday lives. Sustainability is one of our elements of focus and we strive to increase sustainable practices in student life through recycling, reducing energy and carbon consumption, and managing waste. Additionally, we aim to promote student and environmental health by informing the student body about the benefits of local and sustainable food as well as the impact of various agricultural practices on the environment and the body. EARTH believes that student well-being is inextricably related to individual efforts in achieving a clean, thriving, and healthy environment to live in!

EARTH’s major events include: Bring Pollution Down to Zero, Sun Safety Days, a Sustainability Fair, Earth Day activities at UCLA, and several opportunities for students to learn about the environment while engaging in the outdoors!
