Come check out UCLA’s premier Raas/Garba Team, Bataaka Nu Shaak! We're a group of college students who come together to celebrate our passion for dance. We compete nationally against other collegiate Raas/Garba teams and meet people from all over US who share our passion. Every year we compete in at least two competitions that lead up to the Raas Nationals competition.
Never done Raas or Garba? Not a problem! Anyone can come to tryout, NO previous experience is necessary! We will teach you ALL the basics (from spinning dandiyas to the footwork). Just wear comfortable clothing and shoes!
