Classical and Jazz Selections by Leonard Bernstein, Alec Wilder, Damon Zick and Bill Cunliffe

Damon Zick is a saxophonist, woodwind performer, composer, and educator residing in Burbank, California. He was born and raised in Seattle before heading to the East Coast in 1993 to study saxophone, clarinet, composition, and jazz at the prestigious Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York. After two years in Miami Beach, where he performed and recorded with the New World Symphony, Mr. Zick relocated to Los Angeles and has been active performing with groups such as the Los Angeles Opera, MUSE/IQUE and the Disneyland Band. His jazz quintet “Damon Zick and Friends” has toured the U.S. extensively and released two CD’s, We Are Large with Evander Music and “The Outing.” He regularly performs with world/fusion group Quarteto Nuevo, the Westland Trio, the Industrial Jazz Group, and John Tesh. Mr. Zick has performed clinics and master classes at colleges and universities across the U.S.

Jazz pianist, composer and Grammy Award-winning arranger Bill Cunliffe is known for his innovative and swinging recordings and compositions. Bill began his career as pianist and arranger with the Buddy Rich Big Band and worked with Frank Sinatra, Joe Henderson, Freddie Hubbard, Benny Golson and James Moody. He has since established himself as a solo artist and bandleader, with more than a dozen albums under his name.

Bill currently plays with his trio; his big band; his Latin band, Imaginación; and his classical-jazz ensemble, Trimotif. He performs in the U.S. and around the world as a leader and sideman as well as a soloist with symphony orchestras.
