Thanks-Taking reclaims a holiday that overlooks genocide of our indigenous people. During this day, instead of passively giving "thanks," we acknowledge the native land in which we inhabit that was forcefully and strategically stolen by European colonizers.Thanks-Taking is a time for us to come together as a community to commemorate and honor our resilient ancestors and living indigenous communities. Let us thrive and reflect on our shared (our)story of adversity and efforts to establish a liberated identity.

The mesa will be providing some food, but the dinner is potluck style so bring a dish so we can all eat and have a marvelous night! Also, please remember to respect the space/venue!
