Common Sense Action at Occidental College seeks to bring together the millennial generation on campus to solve problems which affect young people. We seek to discuss promote bipartisan solutions to solving problems such as making Social Security more sustainable and reforming student loans. We often host events such as Pizza and Policy, where we informally discuss problems facing young people and what to do about them, or have guest speakers come to campus and discuss issues. We are a young club, and are looking to expand and bring all of the Oxy community together to discuss politics and policy in a friendly and inclusive atmosphere to promote goodwill, bipartisanship and inclusiveness for young people at the policymaking table.
