Fresh START is a project established by the Dalai Lama Endowed Scholarship in partnership with The Tiyya Foundation, a local 501c3 nonprofit with a mission to provide basic necessities to refugees and displaced American families. Join our student organization and help make a difference in our community by volunteering as a Soccer coach, ESL coach, Studdy Buddy, or Family Mentor. By working alongside The Tiyya Foundation, our goal is to help newly arrived refugee/immigrant families feel welcome & actively participate in society. Help us make Orange County a better place to live and join our vision to celebrate our community's cultural diversity by becoming an advocates for those that are new.
