Mester is the academic journal of the graduate students of the UCLA Department of Spanish and Portuguese.
We publish critical articles, interviews and book reviews in the fields of Spanish, Portuguese, Spanish American, Brazilian, Chicana/o and Latina/o Literatures and Linguistics. Interdisciplinary and transatlantic approaches are encouraged. Mester also welcomes articles in Comparative Literature, Critical Theory and Cultural Studies.
