Occidental College is a small liberal arts college in Los Angeles, California, and has fielded an official club lacrosse team since 1981. The team is in the Southwestern Lacrosse Conference division II of the MCLA and competes with teams from all over California, as well as teams from Oregon, Nevada and Arizona.
The club is relatively small, and usually fields a roster of approximately 25 student athletes from all over the country. Players entering the program vary in experience, with some arriving on campus from nationally ranked high school programs, while others might be entirely new to lacrosse. Almost all players have experience at the high school varsity level, and a good fraction play multiple sports for the college (football, soccer, water polo). We practice and play home games on Patterson Field, the turf stadium at Occidental.
Accepted and prospective student lacrosse players are encouraged to contact our club leaders at firstname.lastname@example.org, where we will happily answer any questions about the college and the men's lacrosse program.
