Relay for Life of Chapman University is coming back bigger and better!
Relay for Life of Chapman University! Last year, we raised $27,000 in our first ever event on campus. We are looking forward to growing bigger and better, and raising more money for the fight against cancer!
Relay for Life is the world's largest non-profit fundraiser for the American Cancer Society. It raises money for cancer research, patient services, education, and advocacy. It is all about one night, one community, one fight.
For 24 hours, teams of up to 15 people walk around a track (in this case, a defined perimeter of Chapman!) and raise hope, awareness, and money for the fight against cancer. There are ceremonies to celebrate our survivors, remember those we have lost to cancer, and fight back against this terrible disease. Together, as one community, we are taking a stand cancer.
Think you are invincible? You're not. 1 in 3 women will get cancer, and 1 in 2 men will get cancer. THIS IS A FACT. Nearly everyone has been affected by cancer. Relay for Life is the perfect way to do something about it.
We want YOU to join us! Please take the time to grab 10-15 of your closest friends, dorm neighbors, classmates, club members, or even strangers and make a team online. We ask each person raises $100, but all it takes is 5 people donating $20! We will give you tips and tools to raise that money in no time.
