UCLA's creative writing student group. (Meetings for Winter 2015: Tuesdays, 7pm, Powell's CLICC Classroom C)
The Writer's Den has two main goals:
To provide a forum for creative writers – Once a week during meetings, members come together and share their creative writing with one another. Students are given an opportunity to share their work with other students and hear honest feedback-- no application process, just communication between fellow writers.
To teach creative writing to elementary school, middle school, and high school students – Once a week we go to Fairburn Elementary School, Columbus Middle School, and John R. Wooden High School. We believe creative writing is an important medium in allowing students to express their feelings and exercise their imaginations. At the end of the year, we give the students a tour of the UCLA campus and a bounded compilation of their class's works.
