Chi Alpha Epsilon is a national honor society designed to recognize and support the populations of low income and/or fiirst generation college students. This page is for the chapter established at UC Irvine in 2012.
Chi Alpha Epsilon was established to recognize academic achievements of students. Its purpose is to promote high academic standards, foster increased communication among its members, and honor academic achievements. Members pledge to continue to excel academically, promote academic excellence in others, and help those who genuinely aspire to the same goals. The society provides a means to encourage, motivate, and reward student progress. XAE members are role models; they tutor, mentor, and encourage others to strive.
