UCLA Landscape Architecture Program offers night and weekend courses designed for the working adult to switch carreers and become a licensed landscape architect.
The Landscape Architecture program at UCLA Extension was founded 35 years ago and has been providing the education needed for California state licensure ever since! This program was created to fill a need for individuals wanting to change careers and but unable to attend classes full time. Our program allows students to work full time and come to class at night, and still be able to sit for licensure at the end of the 4 year program. It is one of two certificate programs in the country that is state accredited. With over 150 current students, it is one of the longest running Landscape Architecture programs in Southern California. Our instructor core is made up of currently practicing Landscape Architects and Architects who provides our students with real world, hands on opportunities and projects to learn from. This program is dedicated to educating future licensed praciticing professionals, so come join our program and become stewards of the land!
