Greek Week as we know it today at UCLA began in 2006. What began as a dream by then Panhellenic President, Rachel Iker, has evolved into an event uniting all 6 Greek councils. Throughout the month of February, fraternities and sororities are randomly assigned to teams who compete in a variety of events. Daily events include such things as the faculty / staff appreciation day, can castle building, Greek games, and the Order of Omega initiation. Students give back to the community through the annual blood drive and service day activities. Greek Week culminates with the Greek Gala and Awards.
