The vision of LeaderShape is: "A just, caring, and thriving world where we all lead with integrity and a healthy disregard for the impossible."

The LeaderShape Institute is a leadership program that transforms 60 students into 60 great leaders of UCLA, their communities, organizations, clubs and beyond. For six days, this highly interactive and energizing program provides the tools to:

-Act consistently with core ethical values, personal values and convictions

-Develop and enrich relationships

-Respect the dignity and contribution of all people

-Interact with UCLA alumni


What: UCLA LeaderShape Institute 2014, a six-day leadership training conference for 60 undergraduates. Students will participate in an outdoor ropes course, team-building activities and leadership development workshops.

When: Spring Break (March 23-28, 2014)

Where: Gindling Hilltop Center in Malibu, CA

Why: LeaderShape transforms 60 students into 60 great leaders who want to create a more just, caring, thriving world by leading with integrity, having a healthy disregard for the impossible, and being equipped with the tools to create real change.

Eligibility: Applications are open to first-, second-, and third-year undergraduate emerging leaders who show potential to bring diverse ideas to the conference and return to UCLA to act on those visions.

Cost: This program is free to all selected participants – housing, food, transportation and supplies are sponsored by UCLA Alumni Affairs, UCLA Student Affairs, Office of Residential Life, and Campus Life and Recreation.
