The Student Accounting Society (SAS) at UCLA aims to help students learn more about the accounting profession while gaining a valuable opportunity to establish a network with some of the premiere firms in the business.
As a student organization, SAS holds weekly meetings during the academic school year that help members gain exposure to the accounting field. These meetings have included professional guest speakers with firsthand experience from companies such as Ernst & Young, Deloitte, and Rothstein Kass. These are occasions where students can gain expert advice on informational topics such as public accounting, resume writing, interview tips, and so much more.
SAS also hosts events every year with some of the largest accounting firms in the business. We give students an opportunity to interact, network, and ultimately recruit with the best people in the accounting world. As officers, one of our goals is to give the students of UCLA the best chance to find a real-world job with their accounting minor.
We encourage anyone interested in accounting to check out our events and weekly speaker meetings. SAS is here to help you achieve a greater understanding of what the accounting profession can offer and to provide a network of the foremost firms in the field.
