Women's Pre-Law Association (WPLA) was formed to help overcome the specific challenges faced by women pursuing a career in law, although membership is open to any student. The group allows a non-competitive forum for students to network and discuss issues such as law school and law school preparation.
The mission of the Women's Pre-Law Association is to empower, educate, and support female pre-law students to advance within legal professions.
We will achieve this by promoting service projects that benefit the community, while instilling leadership and awareness, fostering valuable alliances with current law students and practicing attorneys, offering opportunities to gain insight about women's issues specifically related to women in the law, and offering forums that provide the knowledge, insight, and perspective to further aid women through their advancement in the legal profession.
