The Asian American Tutorial Project is an all-student run joint tutoring organization between USC, UCLA, and Occidental. Since our establishment, members of AATP have served as both tutors and mentors to under-privileged children in the LA community.
AATP provides tutoring and mentoring services to the children of Castelar Elementary in Los Angeles Chinatown such that they are equipped and inspired to pursue a higher education. We give the Project’s members an opportunity to interact with the children on academic, social, and recreational levels.
Our vision is to aid the children of Castelar Elementary in the attainment of their goals and the pursuit of their dreams by instilling confidence and providing exposure to the world outside Chinatown.
