The USC Society of Petroleum Engineers Chapter is a great way to network with industry professionals and peers. Follow us to stay updated on events.
The Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) is a not-for-profit professional organization whose mission is to collect, disseminate, and exchange technical knowledge concerning the exploration, development and production of oil and gas resources and related technologies for the public benefit and to provide opportunities for professionals to enhance their technical and professional competence.
The SPE provides a worldwide forum of oil and natural gas exploration and production (E&P) professionals for the exchange of technical knowledge and a professional home for more than 97,000 engineers, scientists, managers, and educators. SPE's technical library contains more than 50,000 technical papers — products of SPE conferences and periodicals, made available to the entire industry.
Here at the University of Southern California, we help students build personal and professional networks by organizing a wide variety of activities. In addition to introducing our students to industry leaders, these events also allow our students to stay informed as to the latest technologies being developed and implemented in the field. We encourage all students to get involved, whether they are engineers or not. Our main goal is to serve the students and create beneficial opportunities for them. We help the leaders of tomorrow meet the leaders of today and learn from the most experienced of industry.
