This spring Aenied Theatre Company is producing When the Rain Stop Falling by Andrew Bovell, directed by USC’s one and only Kathy Stocker! Come out this January and audition for us!
When the Rain Stops Falling tells the story of four generations of fathers and sons. It takes us all the way from 1959 to the year 2039, flipping between London and Australia. It’s a poetic and magical puzzle about family, love, and the strange intimicies we can find in the details our lifetimes.
Auditions will be held January 19th and 20th, callbacks will be on the 21st, and rehearsals will then begin on the 25th. You can sign up for time slots in the DRC starting January 10th, but walk-in will be accepted. The location is still yet to be determined so as the date approaches please check back here to get the exact location and time!
For your audition, please prepare a contemporary monologue of your choice. It may be either comedic or dramatic but we ask that it is no longer than 2 minutes. Also be prepared to perform lines in either an English or Australian accent. If you’re at a loss for a monologue, we’ve attached two from the play. However, we do encourage you to bring one of your own.
Please don’t let a fear of accents deter you from auditioning! We will be bringing in special guests to help actors perfect their accents!
