ATD will be having a private small group training on QPR suicide prevention skills with a professional CAPS clinician. This workshop offers training and practice in suicide prevention skills and utilizing the nationally recognized QPR (“Question, Persuade & Refer”) Suicide Prevention Gatekeeper approach. QPR skills carry CPR’s life-saving potential.
Make sure to fill out the form as CAPS has requested a list of people who will be attending. Please be aware that you must complete the full 2 hour workshop to receive the certificate.

The Gatekeeper training includes:
- Helping participants to identify risk and protective factors for suicide
- How to intervene with individuals at risk for suicide
- Practice in the QPR skills of questioning, persuading and referring suicidal individuals
- How to contribute to the suicide prevention gatekeeper safety net before, during and after a crisis
You will recieve a 1 COMMUNITY SERVICE POINT and a certifcate of completion from the CAPS clinician for attending this event.
