Sat Nam innergy!
This week we are honored to have Siri Sevak Kaur lead us in a Shakti Dance workshop.
Shakti Dance is The Yoga of Dance.
Founded by Sara Avtar Olivier and brought to the U.S. by Dharma Devi one of the few Lead Teacher Trainers in the world and the only one in the U.S.
Shakti Dance is based on the teaching of Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan and blessed by the Master in 2001. Although Shakti Dance is inspired by Kundalini Yoga, it is not Kundalini Yoga, and it maintains its independence as a full, deep and powerful yoga methodology.
Shakti Dance merges Yoga with Dance, and incorporates important aspects of Yoga into dance, the result is the yoga become dynamic, creative, powerful more than ever, and dance becomes a method to know yourself, improve yourself, and heal yourself.
Shakti Dance is structured in 8 phases the teacher guides you through to guarantee you a coherent flow of energy, so that you can experience harmony and balance as a result of the entire sequence.
In addition, Shakti Dance works to create a better physical alignment, release mental stress, and create more self esteem by creating confidence through creativity.
Join us in dancing with the goddess on Wednesday, January 27th from 3:00-4:50pm in Ackerman Union Room 2410.
With love and light,
Tim
