Girl Rising is a global campaign for girls' education. Using the power of storytelling, Girl Rising unites girls, women, boys and men who believe every girl has the right to go to school and to reach her full potential.

Martha Adams is an award-winning storyteller who travels freely between the commercial realm of TV, the independent world of filmmaking and all things digital media. Originally brought on to produce the film at the center of the Girl Rising campaign, she is now the chief creative officer and frequently speaks on the subject of girls' empowerment, radical change and the impact of storytelling. Martha also serves as a film expert for the U.S. Department of State's American Film Showcase diplomacy program. In 2013 she was featured in Newsweek/Daily Beast as one of “125 Women of Impact,” and in 2015 Novus awarded her “Humanitarian of the Year.”
