InterVarsity's Large Group called Encounter is here again this Thursday with a new series: A Beautiful Life.

Everyone in college is looking to create a beautiful life. But what exactly does a beautiful life look like? Some say a beautiful life means a nice house, a great family, an expensive car. Other's might say it's having fancy things, discovering yourself, or having lot's of friends. What is your definition of a beautiful life?

Thursday's talk will be called "A Beautiful Life: In Community". We live in a culture where the American Dream asks us to live in big houses on hills, in privacy, alone. Yet Jesus, asks us to be deeply rooted in community with other people, sometimes to the extent of living with them. What does this mean and how does this create a beautiful life?

Intervarsity is a place for anyone to come experience God and respond to him. Encounter is our main weekly gathering where we join together as a community to connect with each other, encounter God, and celebrate Him. It’s kind of like one, big, crazy family reunion... every week! Encounter is a safe and welcoming environment where you can get away from the craziness of USC, connect with friends, or explore who God is. Whether you’ve been a Christian all your life or are just exploring this whole God thing, Encounter is a great place to get introduced to our community and see what we are about.
